Booking and arrival
What is 800BATTERIES?
800BATTERIES is a mobile car battery service in the UAE. Technicians drive to your car in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Sharjah to test, jump start or replace the battery where it is parked, 24 hours a day.
How do I book a car battery replacement?
Send a WhatsApp message or call with your location and your car's make, model and year. You get the price and the arrival time before a technician is dispatched.
Which areas do you cover?
Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah — more than 200 communities. Each area page on this site shows its own arrival time from our nearest dispatch base.
Are you open at night and on public holidays?
Yes. The service runs 24/7, every day of the year.
Can you come to a basement, a mall car park or the roadside?
Yes. Send the pin, and for a tower or mall the level and bay number. If the van cannot reach the car, the technician carries the battery and tools to it.
Price and payment
How much does a car battery replacement cost in the UAE?
It depends on the battery your car takes. Installed prices start from AED 249 for small hatchbacks and run up to about AED 1,200 for large luxury and European cars that need AGM batteries. The price includes the battery, fitting and warranty.
See prices by vehicle type →Is there a call-out or delivery fee?
No. There is no call-out fee inside our service area, and installation is free.
How can I pay?
Card, cash or Apple Pay, after the battery is installed and the car starts. You can also pay in instalments with Tabby or Tamara.
Is the price you quote the price I pay?
Yes. The price is confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch, with no hidden fees.
Warranty
What warranty comes with the battery?
Twelve months as standard, with longer cover on selected brands. The warranty is registered when the battery is fitted.
Compare warranty by brand →How do I claim on the warranty?
Message us on WhatsApp with your invoice number. If the battery fails within the warranty period, we come to you and replace it free.
Choosing a battery
Which battery does my car need?
The correct size, terminal layout and technology for that model and engine. Send us the make, model and year and we confirm it before a technician sets off — you do not need to know the code yourself.
How battery size codes work →Do I need an AGM battery?
If your car has start-stop or left the factory with an AGM battery, yes. A car built with AGM must be given AGM again. Cars without start-stop are fine on a quality flooded battery.
AGM and start-stop batteries →Which car battery brand is best?
The one that makes the right size and technology for your car, from fresh stock, with a warranty you can claim. Within the right size, brand mostly decides warranty length and price.
Compare the brands we stock →Does my car need battery registration after a replacement?
Many European cars with a battery sensor do. Most Japanese and Korean cars without start-stop do not. Tell us your model and year and we confirm before the visit.
Battery registration explained →Battery problems
How long does a car battery last in the UAE?
Typically two to three years, against four to five in cooler countries. Heat speeds up the corrosion and water loss that wear a battery out.
Why heat shortens battery life →What are the signs of a dying car battery?
A slow crank on the first start of the day, a battery warning light that stays on, lights that dim at idle, a swollen case, and any battery that has been through two summers.
The five warning signs →My car won't start. Is it the battery?
Usually, but not always. Rapid clicking with dim lights points to the battery. A car that starts with a jump and then dies again points to the alternator. A technician tests both before recommending anything.
Battery, alternator or starter? →Can a dead car battery be recharged?
If it was drained by a light left on, often yes — a jump start and a long drive, or a proper charge, will bring it back. If it went flat on its own, it has usually lost capacity for good and needs replacing.
Does the AC drain the car battery?
Not while the engine is running, because the alternator supplies the power. With the engine off, the fan, lights and screens all draw from the battery and can flatten a weak one in a short time.
What if the battery is not the problem?
The technician tests the battery and charging system first. If the battery is fine, you pay nothing for the diagnosis and are told what to check next.

Is it safe to jump start a car myself?
Yes, if the battery is undamaged and you connect the leads in the correct order, finishing on bare metal away from the battery. Never jump a swollen, cracked or leaking battery. If in doubt, call a technician.
The safe jump-start order →Can I change a car battery myself?
On an older car with the battery under the bonnet it is possible, but batteries are heavy, contain acid and can deliver dangerous current if a tool bridges the terminals. Newer cars may also need the battery registered. A mobile fitting avoids those risks.
What happens to my old battery?
We take it away for recycling at no extra charge. Lead-acid batteries are almost entirely recyclable and should never go into general waste.
My battery looks swollen. Is it dangerous?
A swollen case means the battery has been damaged by heat or overcharging. Do not jump start or charge it. Have it replaced, and have the charging system checked at the same time.
