Solite battery change for Hyundai and Kia drivers
Solite is often considered for Hyundai and Kia vehicles, but the correct replacement is tied to the individual car. A basic sedan and a start-stop crossover can require different battery technologies and sizes. We inspect the existing unit and electrical system, then quote the Solite model that actually matches.
The fitment note
Read beyond the Hyundai or Kia badge
A vehicle sold under the same model name can change battery packaging across generations. Check model year and engine, the existing case code, terminal position and whether the fitted battery is conventional, EFB or AGM. Using a lower-spec battery in a start-stop car may cause repeated battery trouble even when the engine initially starts.
01 / COMPARE
Solite versus Mobis: compare the actual part
For a Tucson, Sportage or similar car, compare specific Solite and Mobis part numbers against the original specification. Correct chemistry and fit come first, followed by stock freshness, total fitted price and warranty.

A clear Solite quote
Request the exact product code, production date, installed price and written warranty. Confirm whether diagnostics and any required reset are included. If a Solite line meeting the car's specification is unavailable, a properly specified alternative is safer than a lookalike case with the wrong battery technology.
03 / FITMENT CHECK
What we check before fitting Solite
- 01TechnologyMatch the original EFB or AGM specification where fitted.
- 02GenerationUse the model year and engine when selecting a battery code.
- 03Electrical checkInvestigate early failure with a charging and drain test.
04 / MATCH
Keep the original battery type
Before installing Solite, match amp-hours, starting-current rating, dimensions and clamp design. Ask whether battery management needs a reset or learning procedure for that model. If the current unit failed unusually early, check charging and parked-current draw rather than assuming a brand change is the cure.

Questions about Solite batteries
- Can Solite replace a Kia Sportage battery?
- A suitable Solite model may fit, but Sportage requirements vary by year, engine and start-stop equipment. Verify the existing battery's type, dimensions and ratings first.
- Should I swap AGM for a conventional Solite battery?
- No. If the vehicle specifies AGM, select a matching AGM replacement. Physical fit alone does not make a conventional battery equivalent.
