Idle Stop and Go decides the battery type
When a Kia cuts its engine at a red light, the battery alone runs the fan, screens and audio until the restart. Models fitted with Idle Stop and Go therefore leave the factory with an EFB or AGM battery rather than a basic flooded one. Swap in a cheaper flooded unit and the start-stop warning usually returns within weeks while the system quietly disables itself. The type is printed on top of the existing battery.
