The IONIQ Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid do not use a conventional lead-acid 12V battery under the bonnet. Their 12V supply comes from a lithium unit built into the hybrid battery pack, with a 12V BATT RESET button on the dashboard. If the car is dead, press the button and try to start within a short window. If that fails, the fault is dealer work, not a roadside swap.
Taxi and delivery Elantras and Accents stop and start constantly, idle for long periods with the air conditioning running, and rarely rest. Under that duty a battery may last noticeably less than in private use. Fleet operators save money by load-testing batteries at every service in summer rather than waiting for cars to fail with a passenger on board.
The Santa Fe, Palisade and the H-1 and Staria vans carry more seats, more air-conditioning zones and more electronics than the saloons. Their batteries are sized accordingly, and a smaller replacement that happens to fit the tray will struggle by the second summer. Match the capacity printed on the existing label, or tell us the year and engine.
