Our verified BMW data shows how closely capacity tracks the engine: 80Ah for a 330i or M3, 80Ah across the 520i to 530i, 90Ah for the X5 xDrive30i and xDrive40i, and 105Ah for the X5 xDrive50i, M50i and the whole X7 range. Fitting the smaller figure to save money shortens life badly in UAE summers.

Most BMW saloons and the larger X models carry the battery under the boot floor or behind a side panel, with only a positive jump post in the engine bay. That layout protects the battery from engine heat and helps weight balance. The technician needs clear access to the boot, so empty it before we arrive.
BMW's energy management adjusts charging to the battery's age, and it expects every replacement to be registered in the car. Skip that step and the car can overcharge the new battery as though it were old, shortening its life. We supply and fit the correct AGM battery; the registration is done with diagnostic equipment by a BMW specialist or dealer.
