Land Cruiser, Prado, Fortuner and Hilux owners in the UAE load their cars with air conditioning, lights, fridges and towing gear, often on long desert or highway runs. These vehicles use high-capacity batteries, and fitting a smaller, cheaper unit to save money shortens its life sharply. Some older diesel Land Cruisers and pickups have used two batteries; check before booking and we will bring both.

Prius, Camry Hybrid, RAV4 Hybrid, Corolla Cross Hybrid and other Toyota hybrids use a small 12V battery to boot the car's computers and close the relay to the hybrid battery. When it fails, the dashboard stays dark or shows warnings even though the hybrid battery is fine. On several models it sits in the boot or under the rear seat rather than under the bonnet. We replace this 12V battery; the high-voltage hybrid battery is dealer work.
Toyotas are famously reliable, which leads owners to forget the battery until it fails. In UAE heat a battery commonly lasts around two to three years, well short of what the car's reputation suggests. A slow crank on a hot afternoon, or the need to try twice after a fuel stop, is the usual warning.

The 12V auxiliary battery is the likely cause. It powers the systems that switch the hybrid on. We test and replace it on site; the high-voltage battery is not involved.
It needs a high-capacity battery matched to its engine and equipment, and some older diesel versions use two. Send the year and engine so we bring the correct size.
Usually around two to three years, depending on heat, parking and driving pattern. Cars parked outdoors in summer and driven on short trips tend to be at the lower end.
