Choosing the battery for a M70

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

The old battery is tested before removal and the charging system is checked after fitting. If the car needs a battery-management reset or registration, the technician explains the requirement for that version before the work is closed.

About Changhe batteries

Changhe comes from Jingdezhen in Jiangxi, where it began as part of an aircraft-building group and learned car making by assembling Suzuki designs under licence. BAIC took control of the brand in the 2010s, and later models such as the Q25, Q35 and A6 are BAIC-era cars. Most Changhe vehicles are small: microvans, compact people carriers and light passenger cars with modest engines. In the UAE they are uncommon and usually arrive second-hand or as a private import, so we work from the battery actually in the car.
