Standing still is what kills these batteries
A battery loses charge on its own while parked, and heat speeds that loss considerably. Add the small standby draw of an alarm or radio memory and a vehicle left for three or four weeks in a July car park can be too flat to start. Repeated deep discharges then shorten battery life permanently. For an occasional-use Foday, a solar trickle charger or a smart maintainer, or simply a half-hour drive each week, keeps the battery healthy.
