Qiantu K50 battery replacement

The K50 is listed in the Qiantu vehicle catalogue as a coupe. Its battery choice depends on year, engine and installed equipment. We test the car first and match the replacement against the unit it actually uses.

No battery supplier in the region lists a K50 application, so we work from the unit fitted: dimensions, capacity, terminal position and battery type. Choosing the battery for a K50

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

The old battery is tested before removal and the charging system is checked after fitting. If the car needs a battery-management reset or registration, the technician explains the requirement for that version before the work is closed.

About Qiantu batteries

Qiantu is the car brand of CH-Auto, a Beijing engineering and design company, and the K50 is its only production model: an electric sports coupe built in small numbers from 2018. Very few have left China, so a K50 in the UAE is an enthusiast's import. Like any electric car it depends on a 12V battery to wake its systems, and on a car driven only now and then, that battery is the part most likely to let it down.
