Tiny city cars use compact, low-capacity batteries, because the engine is small and the electrical load is light. A larger battery may look like an upgrade, but if it overhangs the tray or cannot be clamped, vibration will crack the case or work the terminals loose. We bring a correctly sized, heat-tolerant unit and secure it properly before leaving.
With so little electronics on board, starting trouble on one of these cars usually comes down to basics: a worn battery, dirty terminals, a slipping alternator belt or a tired starter motor. The technician checks each of these on site, in that order, so you are not sold a battery the car does not actually need.
