The 595 and 695 use a compact battery because space under the bonnet is tight. A small battery has less stored energy to begin with, and summer heat in the UAE wears it down quickly. Owners who drive only at weekends, or leave the car parked while travelling, often come back to a flat battery after two or three weeks. A trickle charger or a short weekly drive keeps it healthier.

Some later 595 and 695 cars have automatic engine start-stop, which calls for an EFB or AGM battery instead of a basic flooded one. A cheaper flooded unit will start the car at first, but the start-stop system then disables itself and the battery wears out early. The label on your current battery tells us which technology the car was built with.
The 500e and 600e run on a high-voltage traction battery, yet a conventional 12V battery powers the locks, screens and the control units that wake the car. If it drops too low the car may refuse to switch on even with plenty of range displayed. We replace that 12V battery only; the traction battery remains dealer work.

Small batteries hold limited reserve, and the alarm and control modules draw a little current all the time. In UAE heat that reserve drains faster. A trickle charger, or a new battery if the old one has weakened, solves it.
