Borgward is an old Bremen name revived in the 2010s with Chinese backing, when it launched a range of SUVs built in China: the BX5, BX6, BX7 and the electric BXi7. The revival did not last, and the brand's car operations wound down within a few years. That leaves owners of these SUVs with little dealer support, which makes a straightforward battery swap from someone who checks the fitment carefully more valuable.

From the battery guide
With no active dealer network, there is often nobody to ask which battery a Borgward left the factory with. The label on the battery in the car is the reference we rely on: it gives the capacity, case size, terminal side and technology. Send a clear photo of it, along with the model and year, and we match the replacement before leaving.
The BX5 and BX7 were sold with turbocharged petrol engines and generous equipment, including panoramic roofs, large screens and powered seats. In a UAE summer those loads, plus air conditioning running through long waits, put steady strain on the battery. A slow or hesitant start on a hot afternoon is usually the first sign that replacement is near.
The BXi7 is fully electric, but like other EVs it keeps a conventional 12V battery to power its computers and connect the high-voltage system. If that small battery fails the car can appear completely dead. We replace the 12V battery only; the traction battery is outside our scope.

Yes. The battery itself is a standard automotive size; what matters is matching it correctly. A photo of the existing label plus the model and year is enough for us to bring the right one.
Often it is only the 12V auxiliary battery, which the car needs to switch on. The technician tests it on site and replaces it if it has failed.
