A US-specification Enclave uses GM's North American battery sizes, while a GL8 or Excelle built for China may use a metric size. Both are available, but not interchangeable in the same tray. The label on the existing battery settles it; if it has already been replaced with the wrong size, the technician checks the hold-down and cable reach on arrival.

Newer Encore GX, Envision and Enclave models switch the engine off at lights to save fuel. That duty cycle needs an AGM battery, and a conventional unit fitted in its place usually loses start-stop function and wears out quickly in UAE heat. If your car has start-stop, we fit AGM without exception.
The Enclave and GL8 are built to carry families, often with rear climate control, several USB points and screens in use at once. Idling in heat with that equipment running drains a battery faster than the alternator can top it up at low engine speed, which is why these vehicles benefit from a battery check before each summer.
