Qiyuan, sold in some export markets under the Nevo name, is Changan's line of new-energy vehicles launched in 2022. Every model in it is electrified: the A05 and A07 saloons and the Q05 and Q07 SUVs come as full electrics or with a petrol engine acting as a range extender or plug-in hybrid, and the E07 is an electric crossover with a convertible load bed. What they share with a petrol car is a small 12V battery that everything else depends on.

In an extended-range Qiyuan the petrol engine mostly drives a generator, and the car starts silently on battery power. It is easy to assume there is no conventional battery at all, yet a 12V unit wakes the control units and connects the traction pack. When it weakens, the car can show warnings or refuse to enter drive mode even with fuel and charge available.
These cars are recent and their UAE-specific documentation is thin, so we rely on the label on the fitted 12V battery to confirm size and chemistry. Some electrified cars use lithium 12V batteries and others lead-acid, and the two should not be swapped casually. Send a photo before booking and we will confirm whether we can supply a matching unit.
