Every one of them still depends on a small 12V battery, and that is the part we replace.

The 12V battery powers the door locks, screens and control units, and it closes the contactors that connect the high-voltage pack. If it runs flat, the car may not unlock or switch on even with a full charge showing in the app. Parking for a long spell in summer heat, or leaving the car in accessory mode, are common triggers.
Many recent BYD models use a lithium iron phosphate 12V battery rather than the traditional lead-acid type, while others and some earlier cars use conventional batteries. The two are not interchangeable without care, because charging behaviour differs. A photo of the 12V battery label tells us which chemistry your car uses, so we bring a matching unit or tell you honestly if it is a dealer part.
Plug-in hybrids such as the Song Plus DM-i and Shark 6 start their engine only when needed, but their 12V battery still wakes the whole system. Short trips on battery power alone mean that battery is rarely stressed, yet heat ages it regardless. We test it on site and never touch the high-voltage traction battery.
