Models such as the Leo, Beo, Finn and Pio began life at different factories, so two Elaris cars may have little in common underneath. Any in the UAE will be private imports, most likely from Europe. Because Elaris sources its cars from several Chinese makers, the 12V battery's size, location and terminal layout differ from model to model. The vehicle identification number and the registration papers usually show the original manufacturer, which helps us trace the right specification. Where records are thin, the label on the battery fitted now is the most reliable guide we have.

A weak 12V battery in an EV rarely announces itself with slow cranking, because there is no starter motor to turn. Instead the doors may not unlock, the display stays dark or the car will not select drive. After a spell parked outdoors in summer, this is the first thing we test. We replace only the 12V unit; the traction battery is a job for the maker's network or an EV specialist.

Elaris models come from different Chinese manufacturers. The VIN plate or registration usually names the original maker, and that helps us confirm the correct 12V battery for your car.
If the 12V battery is the cause, usually yes. We test it and, if it has failed, fit a matched replacement on the spot. We do not open or service the high-voltage battery.
