Genesis GV70 battery replacement

Mid-size SUV; check the label to confirm the AGM size for your engine.

The GV60 and the electrified versions of the G80 and GV70 drive on high-voltage batteries but depend on a separate 12V battery to wake the car and connect that pack. When the 12V unit fails, the car may not unlock or power up at all. We replace the 12V battery; high-voltage components remain the dealer's responsibility.

Fitment check

Choosing the battery for a GV70

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

The old battery is tested before removal and the charging system is checked after fitting. If the car needs a battery-management reset or registration, the technician explains the requirement for that version before the work is closed.

Send these details when booking

01 Model year and engine or drivetrain.
02 A clear photo of the fitted battery label.
03 Any start-stop or low-voltage warning shown on the dashboard.
04 Where the vehicle is parked for mobile service.

About Genesis batteries

Genesis began as a Hyundai model name and became Hyundai's separate luxury brand in 2015. Its cars are built to compete with German executive saloons and SUVs, and their batteries follow suit: AGM units sized for heavy electrical loads, powering massaging seats, large screens, air suspension on some versions and a full suite of driver aids. We bring the correct AGM battery for your model and fit it where the car is parked, whether that is a villa driveway or an office basement.

Questions, answered.

The model name alone is not enough to select a safe fit. We check the build year, engine, battery label, case size and terminal position at the vehicle.

Yes. Our mobile technician tests the battery and charging system, confirms the replacement against your GV70, and fits it where the car is parked in our covered UAE areas.
