The Ineos Grenadier is a boxy, ladder-frame off-roader from Ineos Automotive, part of Jim Ratcliffe's chemicals group, built at Hambach in France and powered by BMW six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. It was designed to be worked hard and repaired simply, which suits dune and wadi driving in the UAE. The Grenadier could be ordered with an auxiliary battery that powers accessories separately from the starting battery, so a fridge left running overnight does not leave the vehicle stranded in the sand. If yours has one, both batteries should be tested, because they age at different rates and a weak one is easy to miss. We check each and replace only the battery that has actually failed.

The BMW engines come with modern electronic management, and the vehicle monitors battery condition rather than simply charging whatever is connected. We match the type and capacity printed on the existing battery instead of fitting a generic unit. On some specifications a new battery should also be registered with a diagnostic tool so charging stays correct, and we will tell you whether yours needs it.
Soft sand at low speed keeps the engine working hard with little cooling airflow, and corrugated tracks shake everything under the bonnet. Both shorten battery life. Before a long trip towards Liwa or deeper into the dunes, have the batteries tested and the clamps and terminals checked, and carry a jump pack if you travel without a second vehicle.

It can. An auxiliary battery was offered for running accessories independently of the starting battery. We check which setup your vehicle has, test each battery and replace only the one that needs it.
If the fridge runs from the starting battery, a proper dual-battery setup is the real fix. If an auxiliary battery is already fitted and still runs flat, it may have lost capacity; we test it and tell you whether it needs replacing or the charging needs checking.
