Diesel engines and heavy starting loads
Daily vans use 2.3- and 3.0-litre diesel engines, and the larger unit in particular needs substantial current to crank, especially after standing in heat with an electrical load running. A battery that is too small might start the van for a few weeks and then fail without warning. We match or exceed the cranking rating on the original label, and we test the alternator, because a Daily that works all day depends on a healthy charging circuit.
