Jannarelly is a small sports-car company founded in Dubai, and its Design-1 is a lightweight open two-seater with styling inspired by 1960s racing cars and a mid-mounted Nissan V6. Built in small numbers, it is one of the few cars on UAE roads with genuine local roots. Because it weighs so little and is usually kept for weekend drives, its battery is small, easy to forget about and prone to going flat between outings.

The Design-1 offers little in the way of roof or cover, and parked outdoors in a UAE summer its cabin and engine compartment absorb a great deal of heat. That speeds up the chemical ageing of any lead-acid battery. A shaded or covered parking spot and a fitted car cover make a real difference, as does testing the battery before each hot season begins.

Keeping weight down is the whole point of the Design-1, and its battery is compact to match. A larger unit may not fit the space, or may add weight the car was never meant to carry. We match the size and terminal layout of the fitted battery and, if a lightweight type was installed, confirm the chemistry before ordering anything.
Because the engine and much of its electrical hardware come from a mass-produced Nissan, the alternator and starter are well-known components. If a new battery still struggles, those are worth testing, and we can check charging output on the spot. That helps separate a battery issue from a charging fault in a car that few workshops have ever seen.

A proper run of thirty minutes or more every week or so is usually enough. If it will stand longer, especially in summer, connect a smart maintainer or disconnect the battery so it is not left partly discharged in the heat.
