Keyton is the export name of the light commercial vehicles built by Fujian New Longma, a company in the Fujian Motor Group, the same provincial group connected with Soueast. At home the brand is known as Qiteng, which is why the same M70, V60 and EX80 names appear under both badges. The range centres on compact vans and people carriers bought for work, and the Keytons we see tend to belong to small businesses running a handful of vehicles rather than private owners.

When several vans are bought together, their batteries tend to age together and fail within weeks of each other, usually in the first hot month. Writing the fitting date on each battery, or keeping a simple list by registration, lets you replace them on a schedule rather than one breakdown at a time. We mark the date on every battery we fit and can test the rest of the fleet on the same visit.
Work vans cover high mileage, and a glazed or loose alternator belt or a weakening alternator will leave even a new battery undercharged. The symptom looks like a bad battery: slow starts after a day's work, a warning light that flickers at idle. After fitting, we measure charging voltage at idle and with loads switched on, and point out a belt that needs attention.
Some newer Keyton vans are offered with electric drivetrains in China. If one of these reaches the UAE, its small 12V battery still has to be healthy for the vehicle to switch on and connect its drive system. That low-voltage battery is the part we test and change; the high-voltage pack stays with a qualified EV workshop.
