GM-era Opels
An Astra H or J, a Vectra or an Omega from the GM years uses a conventional European-sized battery on most versions, with no registration needed. These cars are now well over a decade old, so corroded earth points and tired cables are common. When the battery is changed, the technician checks the connections and charging voltage so an old wiring fault is not mistaken for a bad battery.
