Choosing the battery for a X8

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

The old battery is tested before removal and the charging system is checked after fitting. If the car needs a battery-management reset or registration, the technician explains the requirement for that version before the work is closed.

About Sehol batteries

Sehol started life as the brand of JAC Volkswagen, the joint venture between JAC and Volkswagen, and was later taken back under JAC when Volkswagen reorganised the partnership. The range mixes petrol SUVs and saloons with small electric models, so two Sehols parked side by side may need completely different batteries.
