Its passenger cars, including the Nexon, Harrier, Safari and Punch, arrive with Indian buyers and some imports. The two groups have very different battery lives: a delivery truck restarting all day wears through batteries far faster than a family SUV.

Ace, Super Ace and Xenon vehicles in delivery and trade use start and stop constantly, idle with the air conditioning on, and often carry extra lights or reversing alarms. That duty cycle is hard on any battery. For fleet owners, testing batteries at every service and replacing them on a schedule prevents vehicles standing idle.
Many Tata commercial vehicles and the Xenon use diesel engines, which require more starting current than petrol engines of similar size. A cheaper battery with a lower cranking rating than the original is a false saving in heat. Check the old battery's label and match its rating.
The Harrier and Safari bring larger screens and driver aids, and electric versions of the Nexon and Punch rely on a 12V auxiliary battery to power up. We replace the 12V battery on these, not the high-voltage pack. A photo of the current label speeds up the match.
