Vortex was the brand TagAZ, the car plant in Taganrog in southern Russia, used for Chery models it assembled between about 2008 and 2014. The Estina was a version of the Chery A5, the Tingo a version of the Tiggo SUV and the Corda a version of the Amulet saloon. Production ended in the mid-2010s, so every Vortex is now more than a decade old, and on a car that age the battery is only part of the picture.

Cars sold new in Russia very often had an aftermarket alarm installed, many with remote engine start for freezing mornings. These units stay live around the clock, and an ageing one, or one wired in carelessly, can draw enough current to flatten a sound battery within days. If your Vortex goes flat after standing, we measure the drain with the car locked before blaming the battery.
Earth straps corrode, alternator brushes wear and terminal clamps crack with age and heat. Any of these can leave a new battery undercharged, and the fault then looks like a bad battery a few weeks later. After fitting, the technician checks charging voltage with lights and air conditioning running and cleans or tightens the connections that need it.
Beyond the battery, it helps to know the Chery equivalent: many service parts for the Estina, Tingo and Corda are shared with the A5, Tiggo and Amulet. The battery itself is normally a conventional maintenance-free unit in a common size, matched on tray dimensions and which side the positive terminal sits.
