Choosing the battery for a M8

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

Mazda has worked with more than one Chinese partner, and the FAW side, based in Changchun, built the Mazda6 family along with cars designed for China such as the CX-4 crossover. Its catalogue confuses people because several generations were sold side by side under different names: the original Mazda6 stayed in production for years, the Ruiyi joined it, and the later model took the Japanese name Atenza.
