Geometry was launched by Geely in 2019 as a label for fully electric cars, starting with the Geometry A saloon and the C crossover and later adding smaller SUVs such as the E and EX3. In the UAE they are mostly private or parallel imports. Every Geometry drives on a high-voltage pack, yet a small 12V battery handles the doors, the screens and the start-up sequence. When a Geometry refuses to respond, that low-voltage battery is where we begin.

In a petrol car the alternator charges the battery whenever the engine runs. In a Geometry, a DC-DC converter tops up the 12V battery from the main pack, mainly while the car is switched on or plugged in. Parked for a fortnight in a hot car park with the alarm and telematics awake, the small battery can fall below the level needed to wake the car, even with plenty of range showing.
A flat 12V battery on a Geometry can be boosted to bring the car to life, but repeated boosts shorten its life and do nothing for a battery that has lost capacity. If you have needed a boost more than once, have it tested. We connect only to the proper 12V points and never touch anything in the orange high-voltage wiring.
Our job on a Geometry covers the 12V battery, its terminals and a check that the converter is charging it once the car is in Ready mode. Range loss, charging faults and the traction pack itself need a qualified EV workshop, and we will say plainly if the symptoms point that way rather than to the small battery.

The high-voltage pack cannot connect until the 12V system powers the controllers. A weak 12V battery is the usual cause, and we test and replace it where the car is parked.
