Haima comes from Hainan province in southern China, and its early cars grew out of a partnership with FAW and Mazda: the Happin drew on Mazda 323 underpinnings and the Freema on the Mazda Premacy people carrier. Later models such as the S7, 8S and 7X are Haima's own designs. In the UAE the brand is seldom seen, and most examples we come across are older private imports, which shapes how we approach the battery.

The Happin, Freema and Haima3 were built from the mid-2000s, so any survivor here is well over a decade old. On cars that age, a new battery can appear to fail when the real fault is a corroded earth strap, a tired alternator or a parasitic drain from an aftermarket alarm. We check the charging voltage and the main cables before blaming the battery.
The S7 and 8S use turbocharged petrol engines in many versions and carry more electronics, from touchscreens to parking cameras. A turbo engine bay stays hot long after the car is switched off, and that heat soak shortens battery life. Parking nose-out of direct sun and keeping any factory battery cover in place both help the replacement last.
With so few Haimas on UAE roads, no supplier here stocks a battery listed under the brand. What we need instead is the case dimensions, terminal side and capacity, which most batteries print on the label or casing. With those three details we source a standard-format unit that fits the original tray and cable reach.
