The H1, the civilian descendant of the military Humvee, typically uses two batteries working together to crank its large diesel or petrol V8. Both should be replaced at the same time with matched units. Tell us you have an H1 when booking so we bring two batteries and allow extra time, since access on these trucks is not like an ordinary SUV.
A decade or more of ownership often means aftermarket light bars, amplifiers, trackers and compressors wired into a Hummer's electrical system, sometimes by several different installers. Any of these can drain the battery while the truck sits. If your Hummer keeps flattening batteries, the technician measures the current draw with everything off to find out whether something is staying awake.
