Range Rover Sport often needs a similarly strong AGM battery, while Velar and Evoque can use smaller cases depending on engine and equipment. Choosing the battery for a Range Rover Sport

We start with the build year and engine, then read the fitted battery label. The technician checks battery technology, amp-hour rating, case dimensions, hold-down and terminal side. A battery with the right voltage but the wrong case or terminal layout is not a sound fit.

The old battery is tested before removal and the charging system is checked after fitting. If the car needs a battery-management reset or registration, the technician explains the requirement for that version before the work is closed.

About Range Rover batteries

Range Rover is Land Rover's luxury SUV family, but its models do not share one battery specification. The full-size Range Rover has the greatest electrical load and typically needs a larger AGM unit than an Evoque. Sport, Velar and Evoque add different start-stop and mild-hybrid systems according to year.
