Range Rover is Land Rover's luxury SUV family, but its models do not share one battery specification. The full-size Range Rover has the greatest electrical load and typically needs a larger AGM unit than an Evoque. Sport, Velar and Evoque add different start-stop and mild-hybrid systems according to year. Before dispatch, we ask for the exact model, year and engine, then check the fitted battery's label and terminal position at the car. A full-size Range Rover commonly carries a high-capacity AGM battery because air suspension, powered seats, climate control and many control modules remain active even when the engine is stopped. The battery may be under a cover rather than visible on opening the bonnet. We check the factory hold-down, case dimensions and existing rating before offering a replacement; an Evoque-sized unit is not a suitable shortcut.

Range Rover Sport often needs a similarly strong AGM battery, while Velar and Evoque can use smaller cases depending on engine and equipment. Start-stop versions may have an auxiliary battery as well. When start-stop has stopped working, testing the main battery and the auxiliary circuit separately avoids replacing the wrong part. The exact location and rating depend on the model year.
Low 12V voltage may cause suspension, parking-brake, gearbox and screen warnings to appear together. A battery and charging-system test is a useful first step, particularly after the vehicle has been parked outdoors for several days in summer. If the battery is healthy, we explain that the warning needs further diagnosis rather than suggesting a replacement as a cure for every fault.
