Exeed started out as a Chery-branded premium line, and many early TXL SUVs were sold and registered as the Chery Exeed, a combined name that still turns up on registration cards, import papers and parts listings. These are among the oldest Exeeds on UAE roads, built from around 2020, and a good number have already changed hands. That history matters more than the badge: the battery under the bonnet may no longer be the one the factory chose, so we check what is actually fitted before recommending anything.

An early TXL that has lived through five or six UAE summers is usually on at least its second battery, and a previous owner or roadside shop may have fitted whatever was in stock that day. A case that is slightly too small leaves the clamp loose, and a lower capacity struggles with the cabin electronics. The technician compares the fitted unit with the TXL specification rather than simply copying it.
A battery test is a cheap way to learn how a second-hand TXL has been looked after. Low resting voltage, white or green corrosion on the terminals and a swollen case all suggest a battery near the end, and sometimes a charging problem the seller never mentioned. We check the alternator output after fitting, so the new owner starts from a known baseline.
The TXL uses a turbocharged petrol engine, and a hot engine bay combined with midday parking ages a battery faster than either would alone. Cars left in open parking while the owner travels can slip below the voltage needed to crank. A battery maintainer in a covered bay, or asking someone to drive the car for half an hour each week, keeps the charge from draining away.

No. It is the same TXL; the combined name reflects how the brand was marketed in its early years. The right battery depends on the model year and engine, not on which name is printed on the card.
Usually two to three summers, and sometimes less for cars parked outdoors or used mainly for short trips. Once a battery passes three years it is worth testing before the hot months, even if it still starts the car normally.
